Is there anyone other than myself that believes we should all just suck it up and take responsibility for our lives, our mistakes, even misfortune and acts of God over which we have no control whatever? It seems to me that somany of us look to government or employers or society in general to take care of us when we have trouble taking care of ourselves.
Right now my husband and I are podding along this path right on the brink of financial disaster. Three steps forward two steps back, sometimes three steps back. Upsidedown in our mortgage and we don't qualify for any relief. Yes, we never should have bought this house when we were both in our fifties. Way too old to take on a 30 year mortgage. And now we are stuck. And just recently we had to replace our 14 year old car putting us further into debt. Scary, no wonder I have trouble sleeping.
But it is what it is and we will get through it. Or we won't. But we will hang in there as long as we can trying to figure it all out.
